Lead Teacher for Homeschool Enrichment Program, posted 5/19/17

The Living Arts School, a folk school in Boulder County, is seeking a Homeschool Enrichment Program Lead Teacher for our Children’s Folk Arts Programs (ages 6-9 &10-14). Our school teaches folks, young and old, traditional living skills and folk arts & crafts, as well as music. We are seeking someone with the following skills/attributes:

-Kind and warm with a love for children & prior, relevant experience with children
-Creative, artistic and experienced in a number of folk arts & crafts
-Organized multi-tasker, with ability to plan well in advance
-Walking the talk: living with intention, making things with your hands, connecting with your food source, etc…

The position will officially start in September 2017, but training will begin in during the summer. Must have your own vehicle and be willing to commit to the entire school year (Sept 2017-May 2018). Some training will happen at the folk school office in Erie, but the children’s programs will take place in Longmont at the McCauley Family Farm.

Hours: Tuesday 9am-4pm and Thursday, 9:30am-3:30pm, plus planning time

Pay: Between $18 and $22 per hour, commensurate with experience
