Summer Camp Lead Counselor (posted 1/31/17)

The Living Arts School, a folk school in Boulder County, is seeking a Summer Camp Lead Counselor for our Children’s Folk Arts-based Summer Camp (ages 6-12). We are seeking someone with the following skills/attributes:

-Kind and warm with a love for children & prior, relevant experience with children
-Gifted in making things–our program is focused on folk arts, crafts and traditional living skills
-An interest in planning circle, collaborative, group games for outdoors and indoors
-Fun! With a love for including everyone and creative problem-solving
-Must be masterful with groups of children, helping all to feel successful, with a non-competitive focus

The position will officially start in June 2017, but 2-3 training meetings will take place between March and May 2017. Must have your own vehicle. Some training will happen at the folk school office in Erie, but the children’s programs will take place in Niwot on the campus of the Boulder Valley Waldorf School.

Pay: $18-20/hr, dependent upon experience
